The Arlo Security System brings all-in-one functionality with its multi-sensors

If CES 2022 is a boxing ring, Arlo has introduced the Arlo Security System, an all-in-one DIY solution for home security. Not only is it a recipient of the 2022 CES Innovation Award, but it is also equipped with an all-in-one multi-sensor capable of providing eight different sensing functions, including motion, doors and windows when open or tilted, water leaks, light and temperature changes, and alarm modes for T3 and T4 smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.

perhaps the most impressive part is the size of the sensor. only 1.1 inches wide, the multi-sensor is discrete and fits anywhere in the home without the need for hardwiring. more flexible sensors (with more flexible placement options) mean better overall safety.

The Arlo security system has an NFC card reader.

In addition to multi-sensors, the Arlo security system includes a safety center with an integrated keypad. It syncs with all Arlo Smart Security Cameras, Arlo Apps, and Arlo Secure service plans to provide in-depth home security and surveillance.

Arlo Safety System Hubs have built-in sirens, motion detectors and smoke/carbon monoxide sensors. It also has a backlighting feature to make it easier to see at night – not that you'll use the key often, but it also includes an NFC reader, so you can arm or disarm it by tapping your phone.

For those who prefer to perform their own security monitoring, the Arlo Security System is a great complement to existing products.

In addition to the launch of the Arlo Security System, Arlo has one important news: the company has joined the Matter Alliance, which aims to make smart homes more open source and easier for everyone to use.

Matter drives a more inclusive smart home where each device can interact with other devices. Arlo is the latest of a multitude of companies that have joined the effort to build the smart home that everyone dreams of.
